Opt for God’s Wisdom

Modern day speculative philosophies and ideologies are like fools' gold that will disappoint us in the end. The craving to imitate the rich and the envy to emulate the powerful is dross; they are worthless in comparison with the eternal value of our inheritance with the Lord. The material world - even our bodies - all are our servants, not the other way around.

Our modern schools of thoughts make us think otherwise, but they are distorting divine logic for concupiscence sake. In response to their reasoning, the weak-minded are stumbling with them - losing sight of their ultimate glory. Void of God's wisdom is like spinning top in mud. Our efforts are all in vain. All the gifts, talents and empowerment received in the Sacraments of Initiation will go to waste. Christians do not toil in vain when they cooperate with the Lord (Rom.8:28).

The evidence of this is visible in the fruitless efforts of the disciples fishing all night, yet caught noting but in obedience to the Lord's command to cast their nets on the other side of the boat, they netted more than they would imagine. The moral of the story is, people waddle in their self-created swamp when they exchange the wisdom of God for the foolishness of mere mortals.

Lord, I place my trust in you. I know, I will not experience rejection in your presence.
